Village of Orland Park Scores Perfect 100% in Transparency

The Illinois Policy Institute awarded Village Orland Park local government their first ever perfect score in a transparency audit, saying that the village went above and beyond their expectations with their commitment to transparency.

The agency counts transparency and accountability as their first step towards good and effective government. In pursuit of that goal, they created a 10 point transparency checklist, a tool that the Institute uses to partner with local government units, grade the governments, and then help them become more transparent. This checklist represents essential items that government entities should have on their websites so citizens have access to crucial information.

Trustee Jim Dodge, Mayor McLaughlin, and others were present to receive the award.
